ABOUT ME!
Hi there! I’m Madelynn Crimi, an artist, cat lover, pasta enthusiast, and a storyteller at heart. This space is a little bit about my work, a little bit about my world, and a whole lot about doing what I love. Thanks for stopping by, I’m so glad you’re here!
I was born and raised just outside San Francisco in the sweet little town of Pleasanton. According to my parents, I was a full-on wild child growing up. I was always buzzing with energy, daydreaming, and turning pretty much everything into a performance. Eventually, they signed me up for the local theatre group to help channel all that creative chaos, and I never looked back. From the moment I stepped on stage, I knew I had found my second home.
I earned my BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Utah, where I built a strong classical soprano foundation and developed a vocal range that spans from lyrical soprano to a powerful mix and belt. I also had the opportunity to train at The Atlantic Acting School in New York City through their Summer Intensive Program, where I deepened my craft, strengthened my technique, and built a stronger connection to the work.
After graduating, I made the move to New York City to chase this dream with everything I have. It has been a thrilling adventure, from navigating subway lines to finding myself in audition rooms and soaking up the energy of a city that never stops moving. There is truly nowhere else I would rather be. Every day brings new lessons, new challenges, and new opportunities to grow, both as an artist and as a human. I am so grateful to be living this life!
Outside of theatre, I’m passionate about a lot of things. I love spending time with my cat, becoming obsessed with every cheesy rom-com book I read, playing my ukulele, working out, and especially cooking. One of my favorite things is teaching friends how to make fresh pasta from scratch, with lots of garlic obviously because really, is there such a thing as too much garlic!? I love experimenting in the kitchen and rarely follow a recipe, and somehow it usually works!
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me a little better. I hope you’ll stick around!
